Thursday the 21st

Ok, so Leah Bullock left me a message on my answering machine at home today. Every other time she has called my cell, not sure why she chose to call my house while I'm at work, but... She said something to the effect of. Your tv is working right now, I don't think there is anything I can do for you. Which leaves me with a television that blows $200 - $300 lamps every couple of months.

It feels like I am hitting the end of the rope with HHGregg. It also appears as though they really do want you to have to be so aggressive with them that you end up giving up. That is just too much money for me to just give up though.

And here is where you come in. I'll begin by promoting this blog. After you have gotten done reading whatever parts you do read. Please consider calling the manager here in Knoxville Russ Best at 865-947-3495. Congratulate him on the profit he made off the television I purchased. Yeah, if I get stuck with it, it just may sit in my garage as I really can't afford $200 every couple of months. I couldn't sell it to somebody else. I don't think I would be able to go to sleep at night if I did. But he made that sale! He's more of a man than I am. Congratulate him as well on the Toshiba televisions he still has in his store and continues to make a profit off of.

Russ and HHGregg, I hope the money you make and made is sweet enough to help you forget that some of the people you made it off of get left with a lemon. I've never seen money that sweet myself, but I guess there must be some out there :D

Thanks to all who do help.

Hmmm...... Didnt they offer u an extended service plan when u bought the tv? Personally, I think after i had a problem with the first one i bought, I would have either bought the esp on the second one or maybe even, i dont know, bought a different tv altogether. Im sure you were told that the tv only had a 1 year "limited warranty" and it sounds to me like HHGregg and even toshiba did a better job than most companies would have done by trying to help you out. But instead of blaming your ignorance on yourself, you continue to bad mouth a company and corporation for your original thought that extended warranties are a waist of money. I keep reading about how you dont have money to throw around, that in itself is crap. Most people dont have 500 dollars for something like a tv, yet you spent over 2000 and still thought that insuring that product for a few hundred dollars more would not be in your best interest.....whatever. Companies like HHGregg offer esp's because of your exact situation. Its your fault sir.

in response to stOrmrider13, you have *some* valid points. If I had gone through a year with no problems and it then started having problems, then yes, it would be my fault. My mouth would have been shut and I would know I did not make the right decision there. However, this all happened within the FIRST YEAR. I've not had it a year yet.

I must wonder as well st0rmrider13 how you make your living. You seem to throw around the acronym "ESP" quite heavily. I have lived in 3 different states. Visited many others and made friends with folks in those other states. Never once had I heard a consumer use the acronym esp before.

Was it my "ignorance" that I did not purchase a "ESP" as you call it? I would suggest looking at the links on the right side of the page. Follow the link to the BBB, and see what it says. Follow the link to ripoffreport.com and read the folks there who purchased "ESP's". I would like to point out two things there. First, nobody refers to the extended warranty as an "ESP". Second they show that folks find these "ESP'S" extremely user unfriendly when purchased at the company in subject. They could be lieing.

Looking back on it now. You are right, I did make some ignorant choices. I probably should have checked the Better Business Bureau prior to purchasing at a place that the BBB says has an "unsatisfactory record". I pobably should have checked the other major appliance stores like Best Buy on the BBB web page. They seem to get more favorable ratings.

Thank you mr st0rmrider13, for your anonymous comments. I'm not going to judge you on your grammar like using the word waist which would be one's midsection, instead of the word waste, which would be more relevant. Thanks as well for the introduction of the acronym "ESP". I'm pretty sure most consumers are not farmiliar with it.

did you read the first sentence of the blog? ESP=EXTENDED SERVICE PLAN. So yes that would in fact make you ignorant. Although you do know its an acronymn, you somehow cant realize to put two and two together. BRAVO!!! Im retired from the military by the way for whatever reason you ask. Oh wow you couldnt address many of the points i was trying to make but you sure could attack my grammar. Whoops! i spelled the wrong waste or was it waist? who cares. By the way have you ever heard back from Ashville TV or maybe Asheville TV. O yeah you got the name wrong it was Astro TV. On that note sir are you even sure u purchased your tv from HHGregg. You sure u got the name right. You sure it wasn't Best Buy or Sears. Oh and by the way i can find something negative about any company in the world on the internet, big deal. I dont think I could let one person's circumstances persuade me that much. it takes a weak person to not think for themself. If that was the case me and some of buddies probably wouldnt even be here.

Wow! Your panties all bunched up about my blog? *blush* And you are following it so intently. There is a lot of stuff to read here on this page, huh? It seems you have studied it quite intently. Honestly, I had no idea that my blog would get some heavy traffic from "retired military personnel". I never thought of marketing my blog towards retired military personnel. I thought that I should promote my blog towards Knoxville consumers. I’ve never been in the military, much less retired from it. Do you have any suggestions on how I might promote my blog towards them? I’d just wonder if most retired military folks would get their panties bunched up like yours have over my blog. If you have any suggestions on how to promote my blog to that group of people, please do tell. Thanks for giving me your attention sweetie!

Love,

Pure class at its finest. How impressive. All I have to say is I would have bought my tv a week ago, but somebody decided it would be a good idea to put a flyer on my car. So I figured it might be smart to check it out before dropping that kind of cash. My mistake. All I see here is a page full of whining and moaning about something that could have been prevented. Thanks for making my decision about where I should shop that much easier. I will be shopping at HHGregg for sure. Enjoy the last word and your 2000 dollar paperweight. I hope it looks good in your garage. XOXOXO

Wow Stormy you anonymous "consumer" you. I didn't realize how much I was helping out HHGregg by promoting my blog here. Maybe I need to head down there and see that Russ Best fellow (the one who told me "You deal with Toshiba" on the phone, but in the store with others told me not to worry about it HHGregg will take care of its customers), and see if there is some way I can get a commision on whoever else I lead towards the same purchasing decisions you did!

Hey Stormy, you "consumer" you. As you think of me in the future, please do smile with glee as you realize that I'm going to "Enjoy the last word and your 2000 dollar paperweight. I hope it looks good in your garage."
